Abstract
In 91 children with diabetes mellitus of the first type in the blood serum and oral fluid at various stages of disease compensation using index indicators, the periodontological status, the level of matrix metal loproteinases (MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-8, MMP-9), their tissue Inhibitors (TIMP-1, TIMP-2), and the relationship between the expression of inflammation factors and the clinical picture of periodontal disease. Results are compared with similar parameters of 38 children without endocrine pathology. The obtained results indicate that in children with compensated type 1 diabetes mellitus, the processes of synthesis of matrix metalloproteinases and their tissue inhibitors are balanced in the presence of reversible inflammatory changes in periodontal tissues. With the decompensated form of type 1 diabetes mellitus, there is an imbalance between the synthesis of matrix metalloproteinases and their tissue inhibitors, which provokes disturbances in remodeling processes and the structural organization of the extracellular matrix in periodontal tissues of irreversible nature.

Abstract
When caries is defined as a multifactorial disease, emphasis is put on the significant difficulties objectively existing in its prevention. Due to the large number of risk factors involved in the development of caries and periodontopathy, regardless of the amount of knowledge and aides for their prevention that we currently have at our disposal, success in prevention certainly isn’t at a satisfactory level. We can expect success in the prevention of these diseases through combining various mechanical and chemical methods of plaque control with stimulated remineralization processes.

Abstract
Knowing the age-related clinico-laboratory changes in the patient's oral cavity at the preclinical stage of the disease development will enable clinicians to diagnose the development of the carious process long before the clinical manifestations with the purpose of prescribing preventive treatment and, thereby, will reduce the incidence of tooth decay in childhood. Purpose of the study: to determine the clinical and laboratory parameters of the subclinical manifestation of the carious process in childhood. According to WHO recommendations, 1158 children were examined to achieve the goal, and 3 age-matched clinically uniform groups were formed, consisting of caries-resistant children 5-6, 12 and 15 years old. As a result of dynamic observation and cluster analysis, a set of the most informative clinical and laboratory indicators of the state of organs and tissues of the oral cavity reflecting resistance and predisposition to caries in children of different age groups was established. To objectively determine the parameters of the subclinical flow of the carious process in children, we imposed the results of cluster analysis on the results of clinical observation in each age group. As a result, two artificially synthesized clusters were formed in each age group: a cluster of caries-resistant individuals and a cluster of caries affected individuals. The parameters that formed the center of the cluster of caries and are clinico-laboratory parameters of the subclinical form of the carious process in childhood. Using a comprehensive approach to examining patients at a dental appointment, clinicians will be able to diagnose the development of the carious process at the preclinical stage of its manifestation long before the clinical manifestations of caries, which will help prevent and reduce the incidence of tooth decay in children.
The effect of one-stage oral sanation on the risk of caries in temporary teeth in children 3-5 years

Abstract
The prevalence and intensity of caries in children of preschool age remains high. In the study, the impact of a one-stage oral sanation on the risk of caries in children 3-5 years. It was revealed that onestage sanation of the oral cavity allows to reduce the risk of caries development in this group of children. However, in 43% of cases the risk of caries development remains high after a year. Therefore, monitoring the cariogenic situation in this group of children can be an indicator of the effectiveness of reducing risk factors.

Abstract
Children of early age have malocclusion more often than caries. The practice of the beginning of orthodontic treatment which developed in a children’s dentistry in the period of the formed malocclusion doesn’t remove the cause of jaw and tooth abnormalities and results of treatment are unstable. The solution is in teaching the pedodontists to distinguish facial signs of abnomaly, symptoms of the formed malocclusion, as soon as possible. Need to work on correction of the broken function at the child, and to organize process where the interaction of the pedodontist, orthodontist, myofunctional therapist and other helping experts was most coordinated. Integration of treatment methods that require an interdisciplinary approach in everyday clinical practice is accompanied by a number of difficulties and requires a detailed description of all technological and business processes essential for providing quality care to the patient. The aim of article is to inform pedodontists and organizers of dental service of children’s clinics with the Myobrace System Protocol drafted by the MRC company. And also to show option of adaptation of the protocol on the example of clinic Zubrenok (Moscow) for more gentle introduction of the protocol in practice of pedodontists.

Retrospective evaluation of caries experience in permanent teeth in children aged from 7 to 17 years
32-36 366
Abstract
Caries development in permanent teeth was studied retrospectively in 328 children aged from 7 to 17 years. In the 1st cluster (N = 241) 7-year-olds had DMFT=0. In the age of 17 years 75% of them had caries (mean DMFT = 3,43 ± 0,08) of mainly very low or low activity. In the 2nd cluster (N = 87) 7-yearolds had 1-4 carious teeth (mean DMFT = 2,29 ± 0,11), in the age of 17 years DMFT increased to 6,49 ± 0,37, the majority of the adolescents had moderate, high or very high caries activity. The children of the 2nd cluster, compared to the 1st cluster, had significantly higher rates of the annual DMFT, caries increments, and the risk of high and very high caries activity (RR = 4,2 и 24,9 respectively, p < 0,001) in teenager’s age.

Abstract
The analysis of the annual reports of the chief specialists in dentistry of the regional health departments and the whole country showed the worsening of dental care for the children, especially in rural areas. Clinical examination of children with a dentist is not performed. In terms of the guaranteed volume of free medical care, modern dental materials are not issued to children. As a result, 87% of children have dental caries and its complications. Measures aimed at reducing severe complications of caries have been developed for the prevention care and treatment of child odontogenic inflammatory diseases.

Abstract
Dental status was studied in 262 children in Krasnodar. Most children had a good and satisfactory level of oral hygiene. The level was determined by Green-Vermillion. The prevalence of caries and its complications in the groups of children differed slightly (p > 0,05). This amounted to: 1) the period of the initial interchangeable occlusion (the first group of children) - 51,14%; 2) the final replaceable occlusion (the 2nd group of children) - 55,81% ;3) and permanent bite (3rd group of children) - 47,73%/The examination of children revealed the following indicators. The intensity of caries was slightly different (p > 0,05) in children of the 1st (2,39) and 3rd (2,13) groups. The caries intensity was significantly (p < 0,05) lower in the 2nd (1,73) group. The prevalence of dentoalveolar anomalies differed insignificantly (p > 0,05) in the 2nd (43,0%) and 3rd groups (44,3%). The prevalence of dentoalveolar anomalies was significantly (p < 0,05) lower (29,5%) in children of the 1st group. Abnormalities of dentition were less common in the 1st group (18,2%) compared with the 2nd group (34,9%) and the third group (38,6%) of children. Statistics showed that the differences in the prevalence of occlusal anomalies and the combination of dentoalveolar anomalies in various age groups were not significant (p > 0,05). It should be noted that the dentoalveolar anomalies of children differed in the variety of their presence and often combined nature. In this regard, in the preventive examination of children should be detailed registration of the available deviations from the norm. It will allow to reliably estimate the result of treatment and prophylactic measures. It is very important to pay attention to the risk factors, the identification of which in the course of preventive examination of children by a specialist should be combined with the questioning of their parents.

Abstract
The long-term results of implementing a preventive program of prevention of dental diseases were analized during 30 years. The percentage of children with healthy teeth at the age of 12 years increased from 12.3% in 1986 to 30.4% - in 2006. Especially significant growth of this indicator occurred in permanent teeth among 6-year-olds and 47,3% (1986 - 33,7%; 2006 - 81%). After the termination of financing of the program and reorganizations in the system of dental care for children that have occurred in the last 10 years, there was a negative trend of growth of dental disease.
