Актуальность. Эстетика улыбки оказывает влияние на самооценку и социальное взаимодействие как у детей, так и у взрослых. Видят ли дети дошкольного и младшего школьного возраста зубочелюстные аномалии? Окажет ли неправильное положение зубов влияние на жизнь ребенка в социуме?

Цель

Цель. Оценить восприятие эстетики улыбки детьми дошкольного и младшего школьного возраста.

Материалы и методы

Материалы и методы. Проведено анкетирование 155 детей в возрасте 3-10 лет с демонстрацией фотографий улыбок с различным положением зубов.

Результаты

Результаты. Было определено, что даже самые младшие из обследованных отличают красивую улыбку от некрасивой. На восприятие эстетики улыбки оказывают влияние такие факторы как пол, возраст и информированность ребенка.

Заключение

Заключение. Выделены категории детей, более критично относящихся к эстетике улыбки: девочки, школьники и информированные дети.

Relevance

Relevance. Smile aesthetics influence self-esteem and social interaction in both children and adults. Do preschool and early school-age children notice dentoalveolar anomalies? Can misaligned teeth affect a child’s social life?

Objective

Objective. To evaluate the perception of smile aesthetics among preschool and early school-age children.

Materials and methods

Materials and methods. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 155 children aged 3–10 years. The survey involved showing photographs of smiles with different tooth alignment patterns.

Results

Results. We found that even the youngest participants distinguished attractive from unattractive smiles. Perception of smile aesthetics was associated with sex, age, and prior awareness of dental aesthetics.

Conclusion

Conclusion. The study identified groups of children who were more critical of smile aesthetics: girls, school-aged children, and those with greater awareness.
