<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>When caries is defined as a multifactorial disease, emphasis is put on the significant difficulties objectively existing in its prevention. Due to the large number of risk factors involved in the development of caries and periodontopathy, regardless of the amount of knowledge and aides for their prevention that we currently have at our disposal, success in prevention certainly isn’t at a satisfactory level. We can expect success in the prevention of these diseases through combining various mechanical and chemical methods of plaque control with stimulated remineralization processes.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>предотвращение кариеса</kwd><kwd>реминерализация</kwd><kwd>стоматология детского возраста</kwd><kwd>гигиена полости рта</kwd><kwd>caries prevention</kwd><kwd>remineralization</kwd><kwd>paedodontics</kwd><kwd>oral hygiene</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Winston A.E., Bhaskar S.N.
